Description

The JL Cooper SloMo Pro is a compact, fully professional replay controller for up to four video sources – VTRs, DDRs or video servers. Up to 32 sources can be supported with the addition of a JLCooper Gangway multi-port switcher (available in 16 and 32 channel versions). Its small footprint, low weight and sleek, modern styling makes it  ideal for use in OB trucks and other vehicles, scoreboard control, game review, QC and transfer suites.

The SloMo Pro is available in either RS-422 or USB versions. The RS-422 version controls the machines using standard 9-pin serial control. A 25-pin breakout control cable is supplied with the unit, permitting immediate connection to four video machines. It is ideal for use with AJA KiPro Rack, KiPro Ultra, Ultra Plus, Atomos Shogun Studio, BlackMagic Hyperdeck Studio, Hyperdeck Studio Mini, Video Devices Pix 250i, 260i, 270i, Sony XDCAM and others. DC power is provided by an external PSU. The USB version communicates with software-based applications via its USB 2.0 port, through which it also derives its DC power.

Machine control is via a standard set of transport buttons, plus a highly ergonomic optical jog wheel, with a set of buttons for the most used edit functions arranged around it. 16 replay speeds are available. Assemble, Insert, Crash and Record Lockout editing modes are supported. A large T-bar control sets play speed for SloMo and shuttle operation; the behaviour and range of the T-bar are programmable. Other controls include a set of fast action function keys, a dedicated numeric keypad for timecode entry and a 2 x 16-character backlit LCD display.
