UK Debuts for DirectOut PRODIGY.MX Multi-format router and Nixer WL64-4 Tablet AoIP Monitoring

At the IPS Pro-Audio Show 23 Aspen Media presents, for the first time in the UK, the new multi-format, multi-sample rate PRODIGY.MX router/converter and the Apple iPad monitoring of the Nixer WL64-4.

Both devices solve persistent and recurring hurdles in the design and operation of performance and production technical systems.

The DirectOut PRODIGY.MX, launched at IBC23, simplifies the integration of multiple audio systems regardless of audio format or sample-rate; seamlessly interconnecting up to 1664 audio sources and destinations via a host routing matrix and multi-channel interfaces.

To give system designers and operators maximum choice and flexibility, DirectOut is expanding its range of high-bandwidth and bi-directional HD-SRC equipped interfaces to MADI, Dante™, Ravenna, AES67, ST2110-30, Soundgrid or AVB Milan networks or systems.

Nixer Pro Audio’s WL64-4 delivers truly portable and simple to use Dante or Ravenna networked audio monitoring. The compact WL64-4 connects to four Nixer app equipped iPads for individual channel monitoring selections or a customised monitor mix. Highly adaptable, the WL64-4 uses streamed audio and the iPad’s built-in speakers or headphones for audio monitoring and accepts iPad connections directly via onboard wifi, site wifi or a wired connection with an appropriate adaptor.

Alternatively, WL64-4 monitor selections or mixes can be delivered to network connected speakers, commentary boxes or site monitoring systems.

Drop by the Aspen Media station at Pro-Audio23 and see for yourself how these simple, but effective tools solve and simplify a stack of production and performance system conundrums.
