DirectOut ANDIAMO – The Third Generation.

DirectOut’s ANDIAMO MADI converter and router has been a stalwart component in thousands
of audio systems across the live sound, broadcast, recording and installation industries.

DirectOut has launched its third major variant of the ANDIAMO, introducing a stack of new features and capabilities.

Expected to ship in Q3 2022, the ANDIAMO now benefits from:

  • A choice of Audio-over-IP format:
    • 64ch DANTE, or
    • 128ch Ravenna/AES67/ST2110-30/-31, or
    • 128ch Soundgrid
  • 128ch Dual SFP MADI inputs and outputs,
    • Easily swap between coax, multimode fibre and singlemode fibre
  • Improved performance AtoD and DtoA conversion
  • EARS – Enhanced Audio Redundancy Switching – automated changeover for dual-redundant MADI and Dante audio playback systems using BLDS
  • globcon control via a dedicated network port

ANDIAMO retains the conservatively rated onboard dual power supplies that have been an important component in the ANDIAMO’s envied reputation for reliability.

These new additions to the ANDIAMO repertoire extend the range of applications for which the ANDIAMO can be deployed. Some examples are:

  • All-in-one BLDS/EARS redundant-playback switcher, router and converter
  • Long-distance audio tie-lines via private network or Vivivaldy
  • Comms analogue 4-wire interface
  • Analogue/MADI to ST2110 IP Router bridge
  • Analogue/MADI to Soundgrid bridge
